how many debts, how much income, how many people are there in the house, has anyone gone abroad, to other states, elected as a public representative, etc. To this extent, the government has made all preparations to start the comprehensive family survey in the state from the 6th of this month. As part of the survey, 56 main questions will be asked from door to door. The government has directed the enumerators to collect comprehensive information from each family by adding sub-questions to some of them. In the survey, the details of the owner and members of the family are recorded and the phone number, profession or job details of each person in the family are collected.

Special code if going abroad..

If anyone in the family goes abroad or to other states, it should also be mentioned for what reason. Ganakas ask the owner of the family if he has gone for higher education or job, business, marriage or other needs. If it is said that you have gone abroad to UK, America, Gulf, Australia, Canada and European countries, a special code is entered for each country. The government has decided to register the code as 'other country' when traveling to any other country. It seems that these questions are designed to collect comprehensive information about who migrated from Telangana.. and for what reason.

Debts.. on assets..

People ask three specific questions about loans. It has been decided to ask the questions of every family whether they have taken any loans in the last five years, why they took them, where they got the loan from. The details should also be given whether they have borrowed from moneylenders and not from banks and self-help societies.

All the details of fixed assets of all family members should be mentioned. Details of assets are recorded separately. Do these include bikes, scooters, cars for personal use, and rental cars? Washing machine, fridge, AC, TV, smartphone and all the details of 18 types of chattels should be mentioned. How many of these all the members of a family together have? What is their value?

How many yards is your house.. in which area? The details of all the rooms in the house, bathroom and toilet should be mentioned. How much land do you have and how many acres.. is it leased land? Or the details like assigned or unclaimed forest land given by the government are also collected.

Have you benefited from any welfare schemes in the last five years? What are the names of those schemes? Details such as

Has anyone been elected?

Has anyone in the family been elected as a representative. The details of working as a public representative in any capacity other than President and Prime Minister should be given. From ward member to Union Minister, Governor and CM, no matter what position you get, you have to get registered.

Comprehensive Development Plan

As per the resolution of the Legislature, the Government issued an order to conduct a social, economic, educational, employment, political and caste survey (comprehensive house-to-house family survey) in the state. It said that a plan will be prepared for the comprehensive development of all communities to improve the social, economic, educational, employment and political opportunities necessary for the advancement of SC, ST, BC and minority communities. The Planning Department is acting as the nodal department for this survey.

The survey will be conducted under the direction of the district collectors. The District and Mandal Nodal Officers will have to provide necessary infrastructure along with identification of Enumeration Blocks (EBs), appointment of enumerators, list of houses, data entry. Taking EB maps from Census Directorate and creating new ones in non-existent areas.

About 80 thousand employees will participate in the survey. Among them, 48,229 people will be from the education department. Apart from teachers, other categories of employees are also used for the survey depending on the availability.

Houses are divided into EBs for surveying. If there are at least 175 families in a village, it is decided as a single EB and assigned to an enumerator. If there are more families than that, they are divided into small units. At least 150 houses in each EB and enumerators are appointed and the survey is completed on time. The government hopes to complete the survey by the end of this month.

Sticker on the house wall..

Enumerators should take clear information from households during the survey. Number of family members living in each house should be taken. Details like house number and name of owner should be entered in the survey form. A sticker should be pasted on the wall of the completed survey.

After completing the survey, the details entered in the forms should be stored in the computer. This process is very important. Analysis will be accurate only if data entry is done efficiently. In this context, the planning department has identified the necessary data entry operators in the district and mandal and completed training for them. A clear order was given to record the details brought by the accountants every day. Supervisor level officials regularly monitor the details entered by the operators.

Privacy of information..

The government has clearly ordered that the information taken from the family during the survey should be kept confidential. The accountants explain this to the owner in advance. It is guaranteed that this information will not be disclosed anywhere. After filling all the details in the form, they are kept carefully. The enumerators give the details to the operator at the data entry center and complete them. At that time, the government also ordered to keep the forms confidential and to be careful not to share the data with others. Daily survey details and progress should be sent to Planning Department by 6 pm.
